Tree Maintenance & Service

  • Ornanental plants provide your property with character, privacy and wildlife habitat. Keeping plants in proportion to one another while maintainig a natural look and feel requires a trained eye. We know how to balance the health of you plants with your priorities and aesthetics.

  • We practice target pruning which means identifying precisely what cuts need to be made in the tree and making only those cuts. It may be removing deadwood over a swing set, clearing branches from the house, or reducing the end weight of a leader with compromised structure. By targeting only what needs to be removed we save time for us, money for you, and unnecessary wounding for the tree.

  • It’s common for mature trees to have structural defects that call for additional support in addition to a regular pruning schedule. Cabling and/or bracing is a low impact, cost effective way to provide additional support as a form of risk management and mitigation for valued trees.

Tree Removals

  • When the benefits a tree provides are outweighed by the hazard it poses, it is time to consider removal. From helping you make an informed decision, to coordinatng logistics of dismantling and removing material safely and efficiently, we will make the process stress free and simple as possible.

  • Some trees that need to be removed are located in inconvenient places. Our trusted network of subcontractors has the equipment to access it all without leaving a trace.

  • When a storm hits, we are here to help. We can coordinate the team you need that same day depending on the severity and extent of the damage. Let us be your point of first contact when you’re not sure who to call.

Planting & Soil Health

  • We love planting trees. Planting the correct tree in the correct location will provide benefits for years to come. We work with multiple nurseries in RI and MA to source high quality stock, and will hand select plants for good structure. Installation happens in Spring and Fall.

  • Problems in the canopy often begin underground. While some issues like soil PH are difficult to address, problems with soil compaction and structure can be helped through remedative excavation, aeration and mulching. We will take a comprehensive approach to the care of your trees, from roots to shoots.

  • Is that tree in the wrong place? We can help. Though it is often more cost effective to remove and replant, some specimens are one of a kind. We can help you make an informed decision if transplanting is something you’d like to consider.
